jobless, again (Tuesday, May 26, 2009 / 1:15 am)
I can't find it.
Damn.
Steamboat with TUP (Tuesday, May 19, 2009 / 1:32 pm)
Hello again! I'm either getting older or feeling terribly lethargic whenever I visit the blogger.com.
Oh well, I better start blogging before I forget about the wonderful steamboat I had with TUP on saturday! The company was great. And it's been such a long time since I conversed in Chinese for a whole night! Haha, training up for my job I suppose.
Anyway, we met up for the highly awaited steamboat at liang seah street! And the potato englishmen weren't there so we could even play games that involve chinese songs. Haha, that calls for our kbox outing tmr at marina! Oh man, and jam just told me or rather, reminded me of the spooky story that happened at that outlet yesterday. Dang.
Photowhoring with the ultimate camwhores at the alley just beside the steamboat shop, at Tom's palette and a few random places like Middle Road.

Breakstreet Boys and Girls. We're all proud of JT because he doesnt sing in his falsetto anymore!
The wonderful jumpshot whereby each of us look like we're doing different things. Hp's sitting in the middle of nowhere; I'm reaching for the stars supposedly and JT's a dragonball wannabe. Funny thing is.. we didn't coordinate any actions before the jump haha.

Then weeba made a collage of all the emo streetlight shots taken that night. Nice one:D
Last but not least, my very own emo streetlamp shot!
chubbo back in the house:) (Friday, May 15, 2009 / 2:39 pm)
This entry would consist of all photo related post exam activities.
Let's start off with the biggest bang! The renowned weight loss that shocked almost every single person who ever knew Mr. Johnnie Ang! Haha 50kg weight loss. I am inspired. Aren't you? That's probably why I went to ECP earlier on to run. Unfortunately, stitches started working up halfway. Coupled with the drizzling weather, I headed home after a mere 20minutes run. Haha, I'll slowly build up my stamina again!
The weather's today rather gloomy and mildly chilly. Nevertheless, I'm going to SushiTei at ECP to celebrate Mothers' day later. Finally! Ah, I'm broke too. I need a job although I'm damn lazy to find one. Let's not talk about the actual working. And it's pouring now! Oh my! I just did the laundry. What the hell.
Okay, blasting music on my speakers on such a grey sky evening works well. A very laidback, chilly, emo evening. Woohoo. With that, I can begin to recall the events that happened within the past 3 weeks or so.
Oh yes, I was speaking about johnnie's transformation. Here's the evidence!
How amazing right. Let's all start running swimming and not eating anything after 8pm. Lol.
Met up with half of the TUP yesterday for SOV and the very long lost pignose whom I havent seen since CNY. So the three of us started reminiscing about the good old J1 days where we stayed over at dawn's and went to Sentosa for our first bikini tanning session (okay, first for me). Let's compare our transformation too! Quite interesting yeah! Weeba's as short as ever, no doubt about that. Hahaha.
The following are random snapshots and group shots with miss boobbang and the many year 4s. It's been a really long time since we all saw one another!

----------------------------------------------
Next up, Miss maymay's 18th Birthday! She's finally a senior now. After 3.5 long years at vj, I wonder if it's a good or bad thing. Thinking about JC days.. Hmm at least they were rather relaxing for the first 1.5 years. Haha. We went to Iluma at Bugis and I even saw wang quan there. What a coincidence! Anyway, the food and decor at Empire State is rather similar to NYNY. So if you're thinking of heading down there.. Think twice. We spent an hour queueing up so I'm not exactly pleased with the service and food there.
The guys are ORD-ing this year end! How time flies. And before we know it, JT's flying off to London already! Sigh!
*Btw, JT's a new name we bestowed upon mr thong. Haha since we have TUP, now we have JT.
----------------------------------------------
And now.. 6shots movie outing! Haha 17again instead of Wolverine. Thats probably why Mr GoodBody didnt come along because he wasnt exactly interested in chickflicks. And thats why.. Kass, Zhao and Des tagged along. Those are the non hunky guys who watches chickflicks. Hahaha. It was a rather extravagant day because the movie ticket itself was 10bucks and I took a cab and we went to House at Dempsey to eat rather expensive desserts followed by icecream bingeing and BJ (sann's favourite). HAHA.

There was also the 6shots KBox event where Mr Kasster Soh, whom I thought didnt listen to Chinese music, started singing sooo many songs. And it was quite interesting looking at Sann at Kbox. Haha she mainly sang Lady Gaga, Aerosmith, old boyband songs and last but not least.. Tian Hei Hei. HAHAHA. Classic Kbox joke. Anyway, that reminded me of the first time I went to Kbox too. I didnt exactly know many chinese songs so I had to choose those english ones. Oh well, but I'm a changed person now! I'm more versatile and bilingual. Muahaha:D
Then we went to some HK cafe for supper and the food there wasnt really good. And one of us even charmed the waitress. Hint hint. Haha.

Finally, the long awaited BKK entry! Although I've been there during last December and this February, I must say this experience was rather different. Amidst the pillow fights, tanning/sunburnt experience, hthting in the sea, getting overly tipsy/mildly drunk, crampy stomach, half hearted shopping experience, it was really fun leaving this sunny island to a more humid and sunny country. And I gotta blog this before I forget. IT RAINED IN BKK! This is definitely a huge shock to a regular BKK visitor like myself. Haha for it never rained there before. And this time round, it rained so much that it was flooded till ankle level. Thank goodness I didnt have to tread through the dirty floodwaters unlike jam, kass and sann. Hahaha.
Okay, before I start typing a super wordy paragraph and you decide to switch to the next blog or turn on the tv, let me begin recounting my wonderful 7day experience at BKK with the other 6 people from 6 shots:D
This story started off with a bang and ended off with a BIGGER bang. Haha, let me begin right from the start.
Please do not board a black cab that looks rather big for the starting price is 5bucks. Plus the midnight charge, once I boarded the cab, the meter read $7.50. Okay, that was really expensive imo. Anyway, after reaching the airport, I had a huge shock! SERENA TAN XIN MIAO actually appeared at the airport together with kass and weeming. SHOCKING SHOCKING SHOCKING. She lied to me and told me she couldnt make it. I felt like uber cheated because almost everyone knew she could make it. Haha, to think I wanted to lie to her in the first place about me not being able to go. Anyway, yes. She sucks. To think that 2 days before going to bkk, I thought weeming, miao and jam cant make it to bkk. In the end everyone turned up:D

Before we knew it, we reached Suvarnabhumi Airport! Bought tickets to take a bus to BanPhe and got us a return trip too. The lady even wrote my name on the paper (photo below) and welcomed me! Hahahaha it was definitely a proud moment. I felt like one of those millionaires and I decided that I should take a photo with her to capture that precious moment!:D
P/s check out the cleo magazine kass is holding. Jam was head over heels over that particular page.

We reached the pier at BanPhe and bought speedboat tickets! Whoa, it was much more expensive than the cheap ferry ride but oh well, it's worth it:D Good hairblowing experience!

Hairblowing right. Told you so. Now everyone knows how high my forehead is and how much brains is stored in there.

This is the little hut we stayed in for 3 days and 2 nights. Not too bad considering the price we paid. Haha, although I must admit that the flight of stairs up to the hut wasn't exactly not tiring.

Started chilling at the beach and spending tons of money on the local delicacies and ice mocha/mocha shake. We all needed caffeine that day!
Couldn't resist the tempting water. It was warm! And I love warm waters:D hahaha. The beach was rather short in length so it basically took us a few steps, say 10? Before we started shuffling our feet into the relaxing warm waters. The slope of the beach was really, really gentle. It probably took us about 80 steps before the waters actually reached shoulder level. Um, this is based on my height. Not random shorter girl's height. Hahaha.
Despite feeling that the day was particularly long, before we knew it, night fell and we started chillpilling along the beach again. Basically, Ko Samet (ohshit, havent introduced this wonderful beach) is a beach about 3.5hours bus ride away from BKK and a 20min speedboat ride from BanPhe. It's popular among the Thais and they call it one of the beaches with the whitest finest sand in Thailand. No doubt about that.
Anyway, we saw a few locals playing music and a thai lady dancing along with her baby. With spontaneity in mind, we joined in the fun despite knowing that I have two left feet. We had a relaxing dinner at the beach too. The waves were just crashing a few foot steps away from us and we started talking about deep stuff once again, since Sann is probably one of the deepest person you will ever know lol.
The next day, we started bingeing again. Seriously, this whole trip should be called a food trip, not a shopping trip. The guys, especially weeming and kass, ate so much during the trip. I think that amount of food can probably last me a month.

With spontaneity in mind again, we went off to snorkel as it only cost us around 15-16sing dollars each. Sann looks amazing in the bottom left photo. Can you spot the iron woman? She's the drowning snorkeller lookalike at the extreme left. HAHAHAHA.
The trip consisted of 2 snorkelling stopovers where we examined dead corals and almost zilch fishes at the first stop. Thank goodness the second stop was much more fun where the speedboat guys (sann's scandal -air) started throwing off bread into the water, thus enticing huge, i say again, HUGE hordes of clown fishes and whatever to the water surrounding us, invading our personal bubble as jam would say. Therefore, the super scared of fishes jam screamed so loudly once she entered the water, causing the speedboaters to throw more bread at her. HAHAHA.
After the stopovers, we went to a fish farm which was quite scary as we had to navigate our way around by walking on narrow planks of wood. Once you slip and fall off, you would end up swimming with the huge turtles or fishes or sharks in the enclosed area. The fish bait was tamban fish! Which is actually the type of fish I usually catch at bedok jetty. Haha.

Started camwhoring with sann on the speedboat while Sann started to lust after the hot speedboater guy called air.
Continued camwhoring after we found a pricey place to have dinner which was just beside the rocks. Extremely wonderful day, I must say.
Our night activity consisted of the interaction with the locals once again. This time round, we were introduced to the sandball game and the running on the beach seriously caused me to shed some weight I swear!

Met Air on the beach and we drank kiwi, grape and lychee malibu and unfortunately, I got overly tipsy or mildly drunk, coupled with the super bad cramps, so now everyone knows that I cant hold my liquor. Ugh.

Started pillow fighting and camwhoring since it was our last day at the little hut. The room was in such a mess as we hang all our underwear and clothes and spread them all over the floor. BECAUSE the room didnt have any place for us to hang our clothes at all! Even in the toilet, we had to hang our clean clothes on the nails hammered into the wall because there wasn't a single hook we could find. Lol.
Then, we bidded goodbye to beautiful Ko Samet and headed to BKK to continue our journey!
Camwhored in the pretty pretty boutique hotel, Tango, with our new clothes and began our bkk pillow fight again with the multishots.
The following collages consist of random camwhoring at the malls, on the streets and with the neverending food we seem to be ordering.

Next up, Chatuchak Weekend Market. One of my favourite shopping stopovers. Triple P, remember this bikini shop! Haha I bought one of those shorts this time round.
More chatuchak photos!
As this wasnt exactly a shopping trip, since guys get bored of shopping so easily, we even caught a movie - Wolverine during the trip!:D It was not to
o bad, and jam was hilarious when I realised that she always thought Xmen referred to just one character. The icecream shop was rather coolly designed. I want to open something like that one day too! Wait and see:D

Chulalongkorn University! Or lalilongkong uni (coined by miao).

Went to swensens for the 2nd time since foodies sann and kass were bent on stopping over to feast on icecream before shopping. Kiddo sann decided to order some birthday related icecream so that she could get the priceless polaroid!

The last few moments spent at BKK with the shopping girls!
Oh and the following photos were taken at SuanLum Night Bazaar, Som Tam Nua (nice thai restaurant that I was supposed to visit with triple P) and before we went to watch Wolverine!
Don't be mistaken. That's not a farewell hug. Haha that's a consoling hug because I left my backpack on the cab to the thai airport. What an idiot right. Haha I still remembered that the driver left it on the rear windscreen inside the cab, instead of putting it in the boot. In the end, all of us forgot about the backpack and since the cabbie drove off without closing his boot, it was really fated for us to not see the backpack left in the cab. Therefore, we kept thinking that my backpack was in the other cab. 15minutes later, the other group arrived and I realised that my backpack wasn't with them! GULPS! We thought they were shitting us and vice versa.

After Mr Goodbody reminded us of the backpack left at the rear windscreen, we exclaimed and realised that the backpack was still in our cab! Haha, after much hassle, which I'm too lazy to elaborate here, that took us about 40minutes, with the fear that we might even miss our flight, I finally got it back! Can't believe that the guys were still planning to go to Koh Samui or something if we really missed our flight lol.
Yeah, and after I retrieved my backpack with everything intact and my beloved jacket that was interestingly the most valued valuable in the backpack, we took flight and ran all the way to the departure gates. I swear, it was like The Amazing Race (Asian edition), as we were all running with our flipflops and everyone stopped in their tracks and turned over to stare at us. Hahaha, running after flights. I seem to encounter that everytime I travel with friends. (recalls the aussie trip with weeba and sw).
More camwhoring after reaching Changi Airport. Waited for Kasster's parents to arrive and also coincidentally to send his maid off to Manila. hahaha. Cant believe we waited from 1am to 6am and we successfully avoided the midnight surcharge since the other two westies live so far away from the airport! AND I CANT BELIEVE THE WESTIES DIDNT TELL THE EASTIES ANYTHING ABOUT THE EVENTS THAT OCCURRED AFTER BKK. WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT!
Okay, so.. that's about it. What a bang right! Lesson learnt: Never forget your luggage once you alight from the cab! I better start prepping myself for the sushi tei dinner later! Woohoo!:D
